Biography:

Christopher Hoover, M.D. is a native of Chicago, IL, where he grew up and attended medical school at Rush University located on Chicago’s west side. Dr. Hoover was trained in urology at Boston Medical Center and went on to complete his fellowship training in voiding dysfunction and laser prostrate surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA. Dr. Hoover is a Board Certified Urologist by the American Board of Urology and has several peer review publications including research studies and medical illustrations.

The Hoovers are happy to call Gallup home having moved here in 2017. Dr. Hoover is glad to be back as part of the RMCHCS family after his second “sa-dad-ical,” taking care of both of his young daughters over this difficult past year. Dr. Hoover enjoys camping and exploring New Mexico’s wilderness with his family.

Dr. Hoover is accepting new patients as well as seeing established patients. He believes that communication, candor and compassion are essential tenets of patient care. Dr. Hoover is an expert in general urology, male and female voiding dysfunction, kidney stones and kidney stone surgery, BHP and laser prostate surgery, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, and testicular cancer. Many procedures done by urologists, such as Dr. Hoover, are done in the office such as cystoscopy, vasectomy, urodynamic, treatment for overactive bladder.
