HIM Technician - H.I.M.
Position Summary:
The HIM Technician performs work of routine difficulty in a fast-paced environment under the general supervision of the HIM Manager. Responsible for messages and other duties as assigned. Retrieves, logs, and delivers medical records daily as assigned and or delivers medical records to all nursing floors, emergency room department as requested. The HIM Technician will oversee the denials management for HIM, as well as the work of all other Medical Records Clerks within the department. The HIM Technician is responsible for completing all duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required or a combination of experience in lieu of a diploma required.
Completion of a records management program preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years’ previous medical records experience required.

None.
