Mobile Health Clinic-Temporarily Closed
"Healthcare on the Road." RMCHCS has launched its first mobile health unit. This pilot project has been in the works for some time and is finally a reality with the support of several partners. Our partners include the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Rural Outreach Program; Americans for Native American (ANA) located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Rotary International including the Gallup Rotary Cub, Community Outreach and Patient Empowerment (COPE) program and Pine Hill Health Center. The mobile clinic will provide women's health services on the Navajo-Ramah reservation at the Pine Hill Health Center. Our plan is to expand services to other remote areas.
The Mobile Clinic returned to the road on November 17th, delivering podiatry and retinal screens to residents of the Ramah Navajo area, in conjunction with the Pine Hill Health Center. The 32 foot trailer includes two exam rooms, a waiting area, restroom and wheelchair lift. The team modifies medical supplies based on the services selected for each trip. Project partners include Community Outreach and Patient Empowerment (COPE ), Pine Hill Health Center (PHHC) and Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services.
The Mobile Clinic will be providing:
