Breastfeeding Support Group
The Community Breastfeeding Support Group meets on Saturdays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Octavia Fellin Public Library-Children's Branch located at 200 W. Aztec Avenue in Gallup beginning August 3rd. Come for help with breastfeeding questions and concerns. Connect with other breastfeeding moms, nurses, midwives and lactation specialists.

Childbirth Education
Free Childbirth Education classes are offered to help families prepare for childbirth and are offered on Saturdays once a month throughout the year. The class is four-hours long and is designed to be completed in one day. To register, call the Women's Health Unit at 505-863-7026.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Activities
RMCHCS is accredited by the New Mexico Medical Society to offer Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit for medical education activities of value to physicians and to other healthcare providers and staff. CPI
RMCHCS offers two-day classes in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training developed by the Crisis Prevention Institute several times a year.

Grief Support Group
RMCHCS offers grief support to those who might be hurting and feeling sorrow because of a major loss such as the loss of a loved one, loss of health, loss of possessions, loss of faith or relocation. For more information, call 505.863.7140.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program
The Neonatal Resuscitation Program course is offered twice a year at the cost of $100 for community participants. The examination for the program is available online after the course is completed. For information or to register, call 505-863-7026.
PALS
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) two-day long courses are offered twice a year at RMCHCS. The cost for community participants is $175 and includes the cost of the textbook. PALS Recertification one-day courses are also offered twice a year for those who need to be recertified. Class size is limited so call early to register at 505-863-7145.
Safe Sitters
Safe Sitter two-day classes are offered annually at RMCHCS and are designed to teach youngsters how to handle emergencies when caring for younger children.
