Description: A UNM SOM Institute for Ethics Brown Bag Journal Club moderated by Aroop Mangalik, MD.via Televideoconferencing. We will be discussing altering DNA, gene editing, fetal testing, patents and much more. Join us, lunch will be provided. NASW-NM approves 1 hour social work CEU and CME. Description: Howard Yonas, MD, UNM Department Chair of Neurological Surgery will conduct an educational presentation discussing the diagnosis and management of acute intracranial bleeding and acute spinal injury, with an emphasis on considerations for transfer. 1 hour of CME credit will be awarded through RMCHCS.
Event: Charity Invitational Trap Shoot Competition
Location: Gallup Shooting Range
Description: Upcoming events for Charity Invitational include a trap shoot competition at the Gallup Shooting Range on Saturday, September 23rd starting at 1 pm. Prizes for the shooters and raffle tickets for an RS300 semi-automatic shotgun will be available for sale. Observers are welcome to attend and cheer on the competitors. Entry fee $100. Event: Charity Invitational Golf Tournament
Location: Coyote del Malpais Golf Course, Grants
Description: The Golf Tournament, for which Charity Invitational is named, will be held on Friday, September 29th, at the Coyote Del Maplais Golf Course in Grants. Goody bags, team prizes, raffle prizes, excellent food and golf hole competitions will make for another fantastic event. New this year is a happy hour in the club house following the tournament where the winners will be announced. Tee time is at 8:30 am. Description: The culmination of Charity Invitational is the Gala which will take place at Red Rock Park on Saturday, September 30th, at 6:00 pm. Live music by Silver Country Band, an outdoor champagne reception, a delicious dinner prepared by the culinary arts students at Navajo Technical University, dancing, and a live auction of 6-7 specially selected items will all contribute to a fantastic evening celebrating all who have made Charity Invitational 21 a success.
